Terms of Use

Last updated 27 October 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and Credify for using the Credify app, this website and the CREDIFY3 challenge. By creating an account or using Credify, you agree to them. Please also read our Privacy Policy.

1. Who can use Credify

  • You must be 18 or older.
  • The information you give us, including your name, must be accurate and about you.
  • One person, one account. Don’t share your account or use someone else’s.
  • Keep your password safe. You are responsible for what happens on your account.

2. Your content

You own what you post. By posting, you give Credify a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to host, store, copy, display and distribute your content as needed to run Credify, including showing it to other members and guests and in links you or others share. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account.

You must have the right to post everything you upload. Only post work, documents and evidence that are genuinely yours or that you have permission to share.

3. Community guidelines

Credify is a professional space. We have zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. You must not post, send or do anything that:

  • harasses, bullies, threatens or intimidates anyone;
  • attacks people based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability or similar;
  • is sexually explicit or pornographic;
  • sexualises, exploits or endangers children in any way — see our Child Safety Standards;
  • promotes violence, self-harm, terrorism or illegal activity;
  • is a scam, spam, or misleading job or money offer;
  • impersonates someone or misrepresents your identity, qualifications or experience;
  • uses fake documents or false evidence, including in verification requests;
  • manipulates reputation — for example fake accounts, trading or buying credits, or coordinated crediting;
  • shares someone else’s private information without permission;
  • infringes copyright, trademarks or other rights;
  • contains malware or tries to break, overload, scrape or get around the security of Credify.

4. Reporting, blocking and enforcement

You can report any post or profile from the app and block anyone so you no longer see each other. We review reports and act within 24 hours: we remove content that breaks these terms and suspend or permanently remove the accounts responsible. Serious cases, including anything involving harm to children, are reported to the authorities.

We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these terms or the law, or that put other people or Credify at risk. If you think we got it wrong, email credifysystems3@gmail.com.

5. Reputation, credits and verification

Your reputation reflects the skill credits other members give your posts. It is an opinion of the community, not a qualification, and we don’t guarantee it is accurate. A verified badge means we reviewed the proof you sent us; it is not an endorsement. We may remove credits that were gained unfairly and remove badges if the proof turns out to be false.

6. Jobs and opportunities

Recruiters are responsible for their job listings and hiring decisions. Credify is not a party to any employment or contract between members and does not guarantee that any opportunity is available or will lead to work.

7. CREDIFY3 and other challenges

Challenges have their own rules, published on the challenge page (for CREDIFY3, see credifysa.com/hackathon). Those rules apply alongside these terms, including how entries are judged and how prizes are awarded.

8. Paid plans and earnings

If you buy a paid plan, the price and billing period are shown before you pay. Features that let creators earn, such as Creds, will have their own eligibility rules when they launch.

9. Deleting your account

You can delete your account at any time in the app or at credifysa.com/delete-account. Deletion is permanent.

10. The service

We work to keep Credify running and safe, but we provide it as it is and as available. We may change, pause or stop features. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for content posted by other members. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under South African consumer law that cannot be limited.

11. Changes to these terms

We will update the date at the top when these terms change. If the changes are significant, we will tell you in the app or by email before they take effect. If you keep using Credify after that, the new terms apply.

12. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
