1. What is prohibited
- Any child sexual abuse material, real or computer-generated.
- Any content that sexualises a child.
- Grooming: contacting or befriending a child for sexual purposes.
- Sextortion, or threatening to share intimate images of a child.
- Trafficking, or advertising or soliciting a child for sexual purposes.
- Sharing, requesting or linking to any of the above.
2. Age requirement
Credify is for people aged 18 and over. Accounts we find to belong to someone under 18 are removed.
3. How to report
- In the app: use Report on any post or profile. Reports go straight to the Credify safety team.
- By email: credifysystems3@gmail.com. Include a link to the profile or post if you can. Don’t send us copies of abusive images.
- If a child is in immediate danger, contact the South African Police Service on 10111 or your local emergency number.
4. What we do
- We review child-safety reports first, and always within 24 hours.
- We remove the content and permanently ban the accounts responsible.
- We keep the evidence needed by investigators, securely and only for that purpose.
- We report child sexual abuse material and exploitation to the South African Police Service, as the Films and Publications Act requires, and to other authorities where the law requires.
- We cooperate with law enforcement investigations.
